In 2021, EiiF the development of an EN standard to define energy classes for technical insulation systems based on the German guideline VDI 4610 and the existing standard EN 12828.
The working proposal was accepted by the members of CEN/TC 228 - HEATING SYSTEMS IN BUILDINGS (responsible for the EN 12828 standard) in June 2022 and first meetings of a panel of EiiF experts and TIPCHECK Experts took place to develop the draft European standard.
The official release is scheduled for 28 November 2024, and the standard has already been published in English in the European countries who do not plan to translate it into a native language.
EiiF will organise an online seminar on 29 November 2024 to present the EN 17956 standard and to show how to use it. We will also give you updates on our latest activities, discuss 2024 highlights and our plans for 2025.
