EiiF welcomes the EU Council’s decision to endorse the proposal by the European Commission to reduce emissions by at least 55% by 2030.
Industrial insulation is ready to deliver up to 10% of what is needed to reach this ambitious target – about 14 Mtoe of energy could be saved simply by improving insulation standards in industry.
EiiF has created National Fact Sheets showing the energy saving and emission reduction potential in the EU 27 and is organising national teams in the following countries to support the Green Recovery: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Sweden – and more will follow.
